Most leaks aren’t where the stain is
Water that gets past a shingle or a piece of flashing can run along the roof deck or down a rafter before it drips, so the stain on your ceiling is often a few feet from the real problem. We start on the roof, check the flashing at chimneys, walls, vents and skylights, and look in the attic where we can.
Then you get a written price for the repair, with photos of what we found. If the roof is near the end of its life and a repair would just be throwing money at it, we’ll say so.

Roof Repair questions
It depends on what’s wrong and how easy it is to reach. A few shingles is a small job; rebuilding chimney flashing is more. We give you a written price after we’ve seen the roof.
Call 416-286-7759. If water is coming in, we’ll tarp or patch it to stop the damage and come back for the permanent repair.
Usually we can get close. Shingles fade with age, so a brand-new patch may look slightly different at first. We’ll show you options before we start.
If the damage is in one area and the rest of the roof is sound, repair. If shingles are curling, cracking or shedding granules everywhere, replacement usually makes more sense.
Warm attic air melts snow on the roof, and the water refreezes at the colder eaves and backs up under the shingles. Better attic insulation and ventilation fix the cause, and ice and water shield at the eaves stops the backup from leaking in.
Yes. Most winter leaks can be patched or made watertight right away, with a permanent repair once the weather allows. Call as soon as you see water, since the faster it’s stopped, the less damage to insulation and drywall.
