Fascia is the board along the roof edge. It carries the eavestrough and closes off the end of the rafters. When water gets behind an overflowing trough or a missing drip edge, the wood rots and the eavestrough starts pulling away.
We replace rotten boards, wrap them in aluminum, and make sure the drip edge and eavestrough are set so water doesn’t get behind it again.
