What a proper roof replacement includes
A new roof is more than new shingles. We strip everything down to the deck, replace soft or rotten boards, and put ice and water shield along the eaves and in the valleys, where Ontario roofs take the most abuse from ice and meltwater. Synthetic underlayment goes over the rest.
New drip edge, flashing and vents go on with the shingles, and we check the attic ventilation so the new roof isn’t cooked from underneath. When we leave, the yard and driveway are cleaned up.

Most homes take one to three days, depending on size, pitch and how many layers come off.
Not usually. We need access to the driveway and an outlet, and we’ll let you know when we start and finish.
Architectural asphalt shingles for most homes, plus metal, cedar and slate. We’ll talk through the options and the price difference.
A like-for-like reshingle usually doesn’t need one. Structural changes can. We’ll tell you before the job if yours does.
Most asphalt shingle roofs on GTA homes cost $9,000 to $26,000 in 2026, and metal roofs roughly double that. Size, pitch, layers to tear off and any rotten decking set the final price, which you get in writing after we’ve seen the roof.
Late spring to early fall, when shingles seal best. Fall books up fast, so it’s worth getting a quote in summer. We also replace roofs on mild winter days when a leak can’t wait.
